WHO MAY RECEIVE GRANT

The ALTA Foundation grants funds to schools and other educational institutions. Any school or educational institution located in Washington State, which is (1) recognized as a non-profit under the Federal Internal Revenue Code, and (2) does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, marital status or disability, can apply to the foundation via our grant application process.

TYPES OF PROJECTS WE FUND

While the following is not an exclusive list of the types of projects the ALTA Foundation might approve for a grant, this list is designed to give schools and educational institutions a better sense of what types of projects we view as existing within the scope of our mission.

  1. We provide funding for physical, occupational, speech and/or life skills therapy.
  2. We provide funding for mental health counseling, or other types of therapy and/or counseling, for victims of emotional, physical or sexual abuse, as well as for those dealing from a wide range of emotional and/or behavioral disorders.
  3. We provide funding for aides, equipment, transportation, or training which relates to the care and education of children with special needs.
  4. We provide funding for projects which improve universal access to facilities, structures, classrooms and play areas.
